Stop over Tour Bangkok Airport

Bangkok Stop over Tour

Programme Suggestion:

Amulet Market; Grand Palace; Wat Phra Kaew; Ta Tien Market; Wat Po; Wat Arun; Klong Thonburi; Traditional Thai - Massage.

Our Bangkok stopover tour is designed for guests who have a longer stay of about 10 - 24 hours between their flights. We adapt your tour to your flight times and length of stay. Our driver service will bring you from the airport directly to the tour guide, the meeting point will be arranged with the guide by phone according to the traffic situation, after reaching the meeting point our guide will start the tour. The tour takes place by public transport and corresponds to the private guide tour.  After the tour, he will take you safely and reliably to the Airport Link according to your instructions or arrange a taxi to the airport. You are responsible for your own timely return to the airport, therefore we recommend the transfer with the Airport Link, as you will then arrive at the airport on time and free of traffic jams.

After the vehicle has reached the meeting point area, the tour starts, which is a suggestion for you, you can also choose other goals.

Program proposal:

We go straight to the Grand Palace which you will then visit and of course also the temple Wat Phra Kaew. The Emerald Buddha is always a magical attraction for believers from all over the world. The Grand Palace is used by the royal family for official ceremonies. After the visit, we go on foot, or if you prefer by traditional TukTuk, towards Wat Po where the 46-metre gold-plated Buddha is located. Before we go in, we visit the old Ta Tien market, which is very interesting. Here, all kinds of dried fish are sold, which you will notice from the smell as we walk towards the market hall.

Its original name is Wat Phra Chettuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Ratchaworamahawihan, but it is easier to pronounce as an abbreviation, even for the locals.  The temple was probably founded in the 17th century and is the attraction in Bangkok. Mother-of-pearl inlays on the soles of the reclining Buddha's feet are elaborate. The temple has a massage school that teaches traditional Thai massage. The great four stupas of the Phra Maha Chedi Si Ratchakan group, also called Chedis, are our destination. The Ubosot was commissioned and built by King Rama I. It contains Phra Phut Phut, a temple of the Buddha. Inside it is Phra Phuttha Thewa Patimakon a seated Buddha statue. The mortal remains of King Rama I were buried in the base. Beautiful murals can be found in the Medicine Pavilion.

Then we cross the river by ferry. Before we climb Wat Arun, we visit the monk at Viharn Noi who, in the old tradition, wishes us long life, health and happiness. If you want the sacred thread, called Sai Sin, you will receive it from the monk you should then give a monetary donation to the temple, this is common practice. After the beautiful view from Wat Arun we start our longtail boat trip into the Klongs Thonburi, here you can still see the old wooden houses along the Klong. Occasionally market women come with their small boats to sell their goods. Experience the blaze of colour along the Klong. Perhaps you will see a monitor lizard or two lying in the sun. Afterwards, the tour ends at Ta Tien Pier and the tour guide will take you to Airportlink or get you a taxi to get you back to the airport on time.

Special features

Tour guests are responsible for their own timely return to the airport, deciding the means of transfer and when the tour ends. The tour itinerary and the individual sightseeing objects may not be visited due to weather or traffic conditions, large area closures, lighting shutdowns at the buildings, airline departure times or closures of the sights. The decision then rests with the person who has contractually booked the tour.

Please note that clothing must be appropriate when visiting temples. Click here for the chart! Skirts must fully cover the knees, trousers must be ankle length and shoes must be closed (no flip - flops).

Before entering the surgery hall or Viharn Noi, please remove your shoes and enter barefoot. We recommend that you wear socks for hygienic reasons. Please do not sit on Buddha or Chinese statues for photo opportunities. Please observe the rules of the temple, especially the Buddhist faith. Women are not allowed to touch monks, so keep a respectful distance. Greet The Thais with a friendly wai and they will get a smile back.

We look forward to your visit to Bangkok and we warmly welcome you.
