We start our journey with a drive to one of the great centres reflecting the Buddhist faith in Thailand. The road there is called the most beautiful road in Thailand by the Thais. A large statue 15 m high cast in bronze and a smaller golden statue standing just in front of it marks the centre of the Buddhist faith. Many believers visit this place, which is very stylishly laid out in a beautiful park where you can also see very worth full bonsai trees. One of the oldest temples on the Klong awaits you with its old teak residences where the monks live. The temple is located directly on the Khlong Maha, which originated from the Chin River. Here in the temple you can see forms of the lotus flower, which is an important part of the Buddhist faith, carved into the façade and beams of the buildings. Now we first go by old boat on the Maha Khlong to our interesting place, a lotus flower farm, enjoy the ride and observe the environment and you will see many animals at the Klong. When we reach the farm you will get information about the lotus flowers. The lotus effect is known to many and here you can observe it directly in nature, how the water drops roll off the leaf. What has occupied many researchers worldwide is here a natural experience that you can observe.

Our guide will tell you a lot about the lotus flowers, for example, that you can eat the seeds and that clothes are made from lotus flowers. Let yourself be enchanted by the natural beauty of this place. Have you already drunk the fruit juice of the Fuk Khao, a vitamin bomb that packs a punch. The fruits are attached to a wooden frame, as they are very heavy, and this creates a beautiful sunshade, with orange and yellow fruits hanging down. The Thais love this fruit because it has a lot of vitamin C and is said to prevent cancer. This juice is homemade here in small quantities and sold to guests. This experience, from and with nature is also just one of the beautiful places we have explored for our guests as part of our Green Bangkok tours. As another destination of our trip, we visit a plantation where different fruits are grown in a mixed culture. The irrigation ditches ensure that the fruits get enough water even during the dry season, which is necessary for the survival of the plants. A ride through the plantation with the little iron buffalo, as it is called here, is an experience especially because the ride goes to a rice field and you still learn how the rice is grown. The green lush rice fields before the harvest and the big fruits show us how wonderful nature is. Of course we will try one or the other fruit on the farm, as the farm also sells fresh and dried fruits itself.

Of course, we will not reveal everything you will see and experience, and we do not want to go into detail here, as that would go beyond the scope of this website. There are not only lotus flowers in this area, but also orchids, which grow very well in Thailand due to the climate and are cultivated here in large farms. The orchid does not need so much water and has dry roots that hang down like lianas. At the place we visit, there are a variety of different orchids that will amaze you, as you have probably rarely seen such a blaze of colour. There we visit the plant, drink a good cup of coffee and let the day end. After this beautiful day trip and nature experience, we drive back to our starting point in Bangkok.
