We pick you up directly at the hotel and bring you back after the tour. Depending on the booking, our tour starts either with the express boat or with our longtail boat tour. The destinations will be approached depending on the traffic situation and waiting times, the described itinerary may therefore change. However, you will visit all the sights.

We also operate this tour from Survanabhumi International Airport, please enquire and we will give you a quote.

The beautiful longtail boat tour in the canals of Thonburi

If you book the optional Klong Tour, please note the following:

Dear guests, please note that the piers in the Chao Praya River are all designed for large express boats and hotel shuttle boats. The traditional longtail boats are smaller and therefore there is a height difference to the pier that has to be overcome when boarding and disembarking. This can be up to approx. 50 - 80 cm. This problem is common to all operators operating in the canal.

Experience a beautiful longtail boat tour in the canals of Thonburi, we do not drive the so "popular short tourist routes" but our own route of approx. 18 km length with approx. 90 minutes travel time, experience with us a time travel into a "different world".  Beautiful temples, typical old Thai huts, life at the Klong, fauna and flora. Storks, herons and monitor lizards cavort along the Klong and go hunting there. When we spot a monitor lizard, we stop if possible so that you can see it up close. From time to time you may see small boats offering goods in the klong. As the Klong used to be the waterway of the locals, many temples were built directly at the Klong so that they could reach them with the boats, many goods were transported via these waterways and the supply of the citizens was ensured.

The Bangkok Highlights for First Time Visitors

Grand Palace with Wat Phra Kaew

After this beautiful Klong tour (on booking), our next destination is the Grand Palace, built on the east bank of the Chao Praya River. Please note the smoking ban, the police impose heavy fines. It is especially important to wear the prescribed type of clothing to get into the palace at all. The Emerald Buddha in the royal temple Wat Phra Kaew is unique, and many Buddhists from all over the world flock to this place to pay homage to Buddha. As soon as you enter, you will be amazed by the colourful and oversized guards, the yaks and the gilded prangs. Three times a year, the king or his representative changes the garments of the Emerald Buddha, depending on the season. Afterwards, we take a short tuk-tuk ride and visit the Wat Po temple as the next highlight.

Wat Pho and the reclining Buddha

In the temple area you will also see 4 chedis, some of which contain the mortal remains or Buddha relics. The first Chedi was built during the reign of King Rama I and contains the remains of the Buddha statue Phra Si Sanphet which was destroyed by the Burmese during their raid on Ayutthaya in 1767. The reclining Buddha with its 46 m length is something unique in Bangkok and a must for every visitor. The soles of the Buddha's feet are decorated with mother-of-pearl and embedded with 108 images referring to Buddhism. After visiting Wat Po, we take the van to a restaurant serving typical Thai food for lunch. The tour guide will order the food for you, and we will also take vegetarians into consideration, but you should let us know in advance.

The old Tha Tian Market

After visiting Wat Po, we take you back in time, to the old Talad Tha Tian Market, you wouldn't expect to find it here, many tourists walk past it as it is behind a row of beautifully restored facades painted yellow.  You can smell it as soon as you enter the old halls, the aroma is in the air.  The dried sea products, some of which you don't know, are stored and sold here in large quantities. Here you can still see the old traders selling their goods to local shops, here you get a first-hand insight into the storage and sale of dried goods. In the past, fish was delivered and unloaded by boats at Tha Tian. Immerse yourself in another world and admire the many types of dried goods.

Wat Arun Temple of the dawn

Our journey takes us to one of the most magnificent temples in Thonburi, Wat Arun, also called the Temple of Dawn. We first go to the area of Wat Arun that is decorated with colourful porcelain shards to climb the Prang and enjoy the view. From the top you have a beautiful view of the Chao Praya River with its meanders and of course the Grand Palace which is on the other side of the river. The climb is very steep and you should wear sturdy shoes, if you are not free from giddiness and insecure we strongly advise against the climb. Our next destination is the ordination hall with its beautiful wall paintings reflecting life at that time. Afterwards we leave the temple and go to the next destination.

Flowermarket Pak Klong Talad

The journey continues to the traditional Pak Klong Talad Market, also known as the Flower Market, where you will see a wide variety of flowers being woven together or put together into artistic shapes by many busy Thais. The market is open 24 hours a day and especially at night you can see the goods being delivered. We turn our attention to the warehouse where flowers and flower bouquets for the temples are produced, sold and delivered Bangkok-wide. In particular, all kinds of spices and fruit are sold here on a large scale, bought and resold by smaller businesses. You will be amazed at how many spices there are, ask the tour guide questions as often as you like, it adds to an interesting tour.
